Murray, DeAndre Leavy Win NFC Players Of The Month For September

DeMarco Murray has been named NFC Offensive Player of the Month for September, while DeAndre Levy of the Detroit Lions won the award for Defense.

Murray became just the fourth player in NFL history to post 100-plus rushing yards and at least one rushing touchdown in each of the first four games of a season.

Leavy has 25 tackles, three passes defensed, an interception and a safety.

Watt, Rivers Win AFC Players Of The Month Award For September

J.J. Watt has been named the AFC's Defensive Player of the Month for September, while Philip Rivers received offensive honors.

According to Pro Football Focus, Watt has 32 quarterback pressures this season. That number would have put Watt in Top 20 among 3-4 defensive ends for the entire 2013 season.

Rivers has completed 70.1 percent of his passes and posts a 114.5 passer rating.
